Second round of the 2013 Indonesia Regional Jakarta EP Championship was held at Sunter International Speedway last weekend. The race featured Super Stock 10.5T, Stock 13.5T, FWD and 1/12 Pan Car classes with more than 50 entries.
The qualifying was determined by 3x5 minutes rounds with best one to count. In Super Stock class, Teddy Syach took TQ, followed by Heri Susanto (XRAY) in 2nd and Ronny Suwarto (XRAY) in 3rd. Suwardi Suliandy (XRAY) and Denny Pangestu completed the top 5.

In the first A final, Teddy pulled away but Suwardi had a strong pace, moving from 4th position to 2nd position behind Teddy, followed by Heri and Ronny. Teddy was pressured by Suwardi but unfortunately they made contact, letting Heri and Ronny passed. Heri and Ronny fought for the 1st position. Ronny passed Heri and took the win, followed by Teddy in 3rd.
Teddy made a good start in Final 2, while Heri, Ronny, Suwardi and Denny had a close battle. A contact between them dropped Heri to the 5th position. Teddy maintained the lead, followed by Denny, Ronny and Suwardi. Denny made mistake, letting Ronny and Suwardi passed. Teddy won the Final 2, followed by Ronny in 2nd and Suwardi in 3rd.
Final 3 was the deciding round between Teddy, Heri and Ronny to win the race. Teddy was in 1st position followed by Heri, Suwardi and Ronny. Teddy spun out suddenly, dropped him to the 4th position behind Heri, Suwardi and Ronny. Suwardi made mistake in the infield and got passed by Ronny. Heri took the win, followed by Ronny in 2nd and Teddy in 3rd.
Heri tied on points with Ronny, but 2 seconds gap in Final 3 made Heri claimed the win. Ronny and Teddy completed the 2nd and 3rd podium respectively. |
